Iban

Iban is known as the son of Zamorak but this is more in his close connection to Zamorak in power, morality and ways rather than in physical relation. Iban was originally one of the stronger black knights who had a thirst for power that in his current form he could never quell. After he died in battle, a powerful witch came upon his body.

She found his soul suitable for the new creature she would create. She made a voodoo doll in the likeness of Iban and smeared some of the original Iban's flesh for his new flesh, blood from a large spider for his new blood, ancient magics were used to create a new shadow for him, and the body of a newly slaughtered dove was put into the doll for his new consciousness.

Iban made his realm in an underground pass formerly used for connection between Ardougne and the lands to the west. In his new form Iban ladened the underground pass with both physical traps and evil power. These forces drove frequent visitors to the pass mad, summoned mighty and powerful magics, and above all converted both willing and unwilling followers to soulless zombies of completely loyal minions. Though not physically related, Iban is still worthy of the title "Son of Zamorak" and this, coupled with his God-like powers makes him a demi-God.

Runescape Defence - The Crystal Shield

Degrades: Every 250 hits you take that did damage. No hit that does 0 (blue splat) qualifies against your shield. Cost from elf Islwyn: 750k Recharge cost from elf Ilfeen:

1st Charge: 750000gp, 2nd Charge: 600000gp, 3rd Charge: 450000gp, 4th Charge: 300000gp, 5+ Charge: 150000gp(price does not change from the 5th charge on)

The Crystal Shield is arguably the best anti-range shield in RuneScape. It beats every shield in range at ALL decay states except the granite shield. Even then, thats at 2/10. For melee defense, it's not too great. Mages could consider this to balance their weakness to Rangers in the wild.

The Crystal Shield also lasts a long time in non PvP combat. Since many of the monsters that players train their melee skills on usually hit zero (and not count to decaying the shield), the shield helps this out even further.

Ahrim's Staff

This is part of the Ahrim's barrows equipment set and needs 70 magic and 70 attack to use. It has slightly better melee and magic strength then mystic staffs, but it is very, very slow to attack with.
